Foundryside (REVIEW)
Whoooo boy this was a good one! I've had this book in my physical TBR a while now and I finally decided to get around to reading it and I'm really glad I did! Foundryside begins with a heist, one that sets the stage very well for the world we will be reading about throughout the trilogy and how it functions. It does an excellent job conveying the class differences and varying areas of Tevanne and sets up a magic system that is unlike any other that I've seen before. This is one of the few books where the worldbuilding stole my heart more than the characters, I LOVE this magic system- I find it so fascinating and unique and truly something to marvel at. Though the worldbuilding is my favourite aspect of Foundryside, I do love our cast of characters. Sancia is a very intelligent main character who makes rational and respectable decisions based on the world unfolding around her.
