Vicious (BOOK REVIEW)

Okay, so I started off with a 4.5/5 but I bumped it down to a 4/5 just where I had some issues.

Story 4/5
WOW the premise of this book was interesting. I loved how the idea of “EOs” was introduced and woven into the story. Every moment of this book feels action packed and important, there are no moments where SOMETHING isn’t happening. Which leads into my issues.
I feel like because there was no filler, I’m not attached to these characters. I feel like if we had more little moments with them doing something that wasn’t insanely important or an experiment or wasn’t focused on the main plot then I would have enjoyed more of how the story moved.
When thinking about this book there is not a single moment in the entire book that has a side-plot or side-moment that isn’t focused into the main story. I just think we needed more interactions between characters that weren’t plot based to make the characters and story overall more fleshed out.

Characters 5/5
Now other than my issues with needing more time with the characters being just themselves I LOVED these characters. Every single one of them. Even the ones I thought I’d hate. They were all incredible.
Victor of course was my favourite. He was extremely intriguing and I had so much feeling invested in his story as it unfolded.
Sydney was incredible and lovely and I found her power super interesting and cool. I also love her development throughout the book as she slowly becomes more like Victor.
Mitch is a good man and I love him. I want to hug him. He deserves the world and I love his brotherly and caring relationship with Sydney.
Eli was also really interesting and a character I was always excited to read about. I thought I would hate him but once I read from his perspective I began to understand from his dark perspective how he saw the world around him.
Writing 4/5
The story was beautifully written but extremely fast paced
