If it Bleeds (BOOK REVIEW)
This book was very strange:
Mr. Harrigan’s phone: 4.5/5 favourite story in the collection! Really fun and interesting. It had really well-rounded characters and a touching friendship that is tainted through death.
It was fun, spooky, and easy to follow and enjoy.
The life of Chuck: 2/5: triggered my dissociation and “simulation” anxiety really badly, don’t recommend to people with derealization issues
If it Bleeds 3/5: entertaining but I wasn’t super invested, probably because I hadn’t read much about Holly before now other than The Outsider
Rat: 4.5/5 deeply disturbing and interesting. Themes of isolation, sickness, desperation, and madness and relatable themes (to an extent) about being a writer. Very enjoyable characters and backstory, reminded me quite a bit of Misery without the kidnapping.
My overall rating is 3.5/5 but I’m rounding up because it was a very enjoyable experience!
